Ways To Give
Welcome to the Ways to Give Page! There are
many ways to donate to Banyan School and they
are briefly described below. We hope you find this
information helpful and that you will consider
enriching the lives and educational needs of our students.
Cash Or Check
Banyan School most frequently receives gifts in the form of cash or checks. Checks should be made payable to Banyan School and mailed to Banyan School Development Office, 12 Hollywood Avenue, Fairfield, NJ 07004.
Credit Cards
We gladly accept Visa, Mastercard, Discover and American Express Cards. Please call the Development Office at (973) 439-1919 Extension 113 or 114 with your card number and expiration date for processing. A four-payment installment plan may be arranged.
Pledge
If you would like to make a larger gift to Banyan School over time, you may make a pledge. A pledge is a commitment that will be honored over a set period of time. We can make arrangements for your pledge to be fulfilled by charging your credit card quarterly.
Stock Transfer
A gift of appreciated stock is always welcome. You will receive a charitable deduction for the full market value of the appreciated stock and will not be taxed on the appreciation of value.
Matching Gifts
Many companies match employee (or employee spouse) contributions to schools such as Banyan. If your company has a matching gift program, you can sometimes double or even triple the value of your donation to Banyan by completing a form. Please contact your Human Resource Department for availability.
Real Estate
A gift of real estate to Banyan School provides you with an income tax benefit as well as reducing capital gains since the market value of appreciated property is deductible.
Bequests
A bequest gift is made through a will. A bequest may be given as a specific amount, as a portion of an estate, or as a remainder share. Contributions to Banyan School qualify as charitable tax deductions and may help reduce estate tax liability. An attorney or financial advisor can help you
plan this type of giving.
Gifts in Memory/ Gifts in Honor
Gifts to Banyan School are a wonderful way to memorialize a special loved one or to mark a milestone in one’s life. Such gifts are fully tax deductible, and the person or family in whose memory or honor the gift is made will receive a beautiful tribute card acknowledging the occasion and noting your generosity.
In-Kind Contributions
In addition to monetary support, Banyan School often receives a variety of in-kind donations of new merchandise, goods and services. These items are especially Important to the success of our auctions and fundraising events. Please contact the Development Office at (973) 439-1919 Ext. 113 if you would like to donate.
Tribute Cards
Tribute cards are a beautiful way to help celebrate a momentous occasion or acknowledge those you love and appreciate. Holidays, weddings, anniversaries, get well wishes, or thanking a family member, friend or co-worker are some of the ways you can use tribute cards. Each card sent will help benefit the children who attend Banyan School.
