You’ll give Banyan School a nice present when you shop Amazon Smile ! Now, when you do your on-line shopping at www.smile.amazon.com, Banyan School will receive a donation worth .5% of your total eligible purchases! That adds up pretty quickly. To participate, it won’t cost you anything extra…it’s simply a donation from Amazon. Now that’s something worth smiling about! (See Link above for more information).

Thank you to all who participated in the 19th Annual Banyan School Golf Classic in memory of Peter Layne  on Monday, Sept. 18th. It was a great success! Sponsors and supporters are listed on the “Giving” page.

BOX TOP COLLECTION: Above please find a fun Boxtops collection sheet link.  This sheet helps make collecting easy and fun. When your sheet has been filled, please send into school with your child, Attention: Amy Stoller. Last year Banyan was able to earn over $2,000 from Boxtops! We greatly appreciate your help in making this program a success for Banyan and our children.

PTO is looking for more members. Come join us! Questions, contact amystoller@optonline.net.

BANYAN BOOK OF POETRY: As a follow up to our very special Author Visit in April, we thought it would be really exciting to become authors ourselves. In our writing classes, each student composed an original piece of poetry, and illustrated it. After that, our original poems and illustrations were published in our own book, entitled, “Banyan Book of Poetry.” On Thursday, June 2nd, our books arrived, and we celebrated together as we distributed the books. You can enjoy seeing the photos of the day the books arrived in the link to the PowerPoint presentation above.
